Mentoring Services – ChildSavers provides Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS) mentoring services, in partnership with Smart Beginnings and local Departments of Social Services.  Our staff specialists (mentors) rate participating child care providers' classroom environments, based on the Environment Rating Scales and Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS). Our mentors and program participants then meet regularly and work together to determine and implement specific strategies for improving the quality of care given to children. Each plan is specific to the individual participant's needs.  We also offer our mentoring services to child care providers who do not participate in the QRIS, but who still wish to maximize the quality of their services. For more information, contact Janet Burke at (804) 644-9590, ext. 3017 or jburke@childsavers.org.

Quality Circles: A Distance Learning Opportunity – Through this service, our early childhood development specialists provide training without you even having to leave your home or center.  Quality Circles training materials can be e-mailed or sent by mail to your home or business. Once you have completed the required activities, send the documents back to us and a receive Certificate of Completion for 1 of hour training for each topic chosen.  It is that easy!  For more information on cost, Quality Circles topics, or how to receive materials, click here or contact Myia Johnson at (804) 644-9590 ext. 3019 or mjohnson@childsavers.org.
